‘The work comprises a series of 14 drawings depicting the faces of people who have been ‘knocked the fuck out’, accompanied by dialogue from K.T.F.O. videos. Disconnected from the usual narratives, these intimate portraits invite the viewer to confront the reality of this violence, by focusing on its victims. Rather than the pixelated, dehumanised faces that we are accustomed to seeing online, or the face viewed through the desensitising lens of the television screen, these are real people - individuals. Confronted with these drawings, it is hard to be content with just ‘boys will be boys’.
